The button on my doorbell was cracked and ugly. The wife said, "We got you a 3d printer, why don't you do something useful with it?!?" So, here is my solution. You may want to sand this a bit so the button pushes smoothly.
This fits over my old 22mm, slightly raised, doorbell button. I used double sides foam tape to mount it.
I have published the ball and button together as an STL as well, but the tolerances are too tight for my printer to print them that way.
I published the the OpenJSCAD code if you want to modify this, but it is a little mess. You will need to comment the return lines to get the ball, then the button.
The pictured one is painted, not printed multi-material.

Print instructions

Infill is only needed for a ridge inside the ball. You may not need it if your bridging is good.
