Pokeball Closet Knobs

Pokeball Closet Knobs

My sons closet was missing a crucial element - a knob, so I decided to craft them new ones that resembled pokeballs. They're obsessed with Pokémon and I wanted to give their space a unique touch. The knobs measure 40mm in diameter, complete with a 4mm metric screw thread on the back. I used my Ender 3 printer to bring these designs to life, but the print thread wasn't perfect, making it necessary to apply some serious force to drive the screw using an impact wrench. Adjusting the expansion settings in the slicer might help resolve this issue. I started with a pokeball design by MoustachePolice from Thingiverse, then added a backing and a thread using the OpenSCAD threads module created by dan_kirshner. The command used was: metric_thread (diameter=4, pitch=1, length=34,internal=true); To print these knobs, I used 50% infill with SUNLU PLA+, a layer height of 0.12mm, and no support material. In the future, I might consider painting them for an extra touch. If you decide to print one, please share your creation on Thingiverse!
