PokeBall

thingiverse

I designed my very first 3D printable object, the PokeBall, which is remarkably simple yet boasts a functional hinge allowing it to open and close. The design features a clever mechanism where the middle piece attaches to the top piece, while keeping the bottom piece separate for authentic Pokémon anime flair. To ensure precision and accuracy, I updated the design on May 27th, 2018. Initially, my first iteration had several inconsistencies with the hinge, so I reworked the middle and bottom pieces to better align them with the pin. Additionally, I incorporated holes in both the bottom and middle pieces to allow for tiny magnets that securely fasten the ball in place, preventing it from opening unnecessarily.
