A revamped version of the .44 Magnum firearm exists, personally designed by myself with slight modifications to fit my requirements. The .44 Remington Magnum, or simply .44 Magnum, is a potent cartridge initially crafted for revolvers but later adopted for carbines and rifles. Despite its name, the caliber of bullets used in .44 Magnum and its predecessor, the .44 Special, measure around 0.429 inches in diameter. The .44 Magnum is a high-pressure loaded version of the lengthened .44 Special case, increasing velocity (and thus energy) compared to the original design. Although surpassed in power by cartridges like the .454 Casull, .460 S&W Magnum, and .500 S&W Magnum, the .44 Magnum remains a popular choice among large-bore magnum cartridges. In handguns, it is an effective short-range hunting option for all North American game but comes with considerable recoil and muzzle flash. When used in carbines and rifles, these drawbacks are eliminated.
