Our Teenager Recently Started Hurting Herself, So We Created A Unique Solution. Recently, our daughter began engaging in self-harm, and her therapist suggested exploring alternative methods that could help manage these behaviors. The idea was to find objects that cause pain but do not result in permanent marks. Initially, we considered using items like lego blocks or pipe couplings, which are readily available and can produce the desired effect. However, our daughter would never wear such items around school, so we decided to look for something more discreet. Together, we searched online for images of pointy necklaces that she might be interested in wearing. After browsing through various designs, we came across a picture of a pointy bunny that caught her attention. We printed the image and turned it into a wearable necklace. Now, whenever she needs to release tension, she can squeeze the bunny tightly with her hand. This solution has proven effective for our daughter, allowing her to express herself in a more constructive way. If you're looking for a similar alternative, feel free to print the bunny design or use it as inspiration to create your own unique object.
