Pogo clip for flashing ESP8266 inside Shelly Duo RGBW bulb
thingiverse
This is a pogo pin connector for flashing a Shelly Duo RGBW bulb to install Tasmota firmware etc. Normally this is possible over the air, however I bricked my bulb and had to recover it this way. The clip allows for non-destructive repair (electrical connections can remain attached at bottom). Pogo pins used were these: https://amzn.eu/d/g7I7yi6 There is a hole for an M4 brass insert, an M4 screw is used to keep the clip in place. I had to clean the holes out with a 0.8mm drill bit after printing. When repairing the bulb, carefully pop lens from top of bulb (it is attached with silicone) remove lighting PCB and connect clip. Do not connect to mains voltage! USB flasher CP2102 was used for programming, however other ESP8266 programmers should work fine. Wiring is as per photo, GPIO0 should be grounded when plugging in the device to put it into programming mode, then disconnected shortly afterwards.
