Poe Dameron X-Wing Kenner Upgrade Mag Attach

I've been meticulously restoring vintage 1978 Kenner Xwings, sourcing them from sellers who have discarded their broken wings and opting instead to fabricate new ones through a process of precise printing. To elevate these classic toys, I've decided to transform several of them into Poe Dameron Xwings. This upgrade necessitates the modification of cannons and rockets (nacelles) to feature magnetically mounted components. To achieve this, I employed 3x6mm magnets, carefully ensuring that all parts have their N-S poles aligned properly. Next, I printed two hinges, which were then inserted into the metal rod before proceeding to attach the four wings in unison. Rubber bands were used to secure the wings together temporarily, after which a thin layer of CA was applied along the hinges to firmly bond the wings to the hinge joints. It's crucial to pay close attention to the T and B markings on the wings during this process. Once the wing assembly was complete, I carefully inserted it into the R2 mechanism, taking great care to align all components properly.
