Poe Dameron Blaster with Corrected Nozzle Size
thingiverse
I designed and created this prop as a secret Santa gift exchange project, drawing inspiration from the original design but aiming to improve upon it. Initially, the nozzle size didn't match the exposed barrel, so I made adjustments by scaling down the nozzle until its radius matched the barrel's diameter and trimmed the top to ensure alignment. This modification reduced the footprint of the nozzle, making it smaller than the blaster's end, but with added angles, I believe it still appears acceptable. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Steel Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 10% Notes: To accommodate size constraints, I printed the body of the gun sideways with supports and the nozzle and grip vertically. If possible, print this design vertically for significantly improved quality. Post-Printing: Gluing and painting: I assembled the parts using normal super glue before applying paint. Starting with an acrylic primer, I then sprayed a metallic silver layer, followed by adding a worn metal look. To finish, I applied multiple coats of varnish. I've attached a tutorial on achieving a worn metal effect; please note that this video was not created by me.
