Pocket Toothpick Canister
thingiverse
This is a portable toothpick container that securely holds up to 25-30 toothpicks at all times. It tightly screws shut and opens just enough to easily load and unload toothpicks without any of them spilling out on the floor. The assembled canister is one complete piece. For assembly, insert the inner part through the bottom of the outer part until the rod extends completely through the canister, then screw the lid onto the rod until the threads are fully inside the lid. I used a pair of pliers to grip the center rod while attaching the lid to the rod, making it ready for use. UPDATE: A revised version 2 of the outer has been posted, which helps prevent stringing from occurring on the inside when printing with the threaded end facing up. UPDATE: You may need to rotate the STL file in your slicing program to print correctly. They should be printed upright, not on their sides as shown in the above STL images. The lid should be printed flat with the hole facing upwards. Please share pictures and feedback. It was printed in three separate parts and assembled. Tightening it requires a pair of pliers. How I Designed This I designed this using Fusion 360 software. The design features basic extrusions, a circular pattern for the lid with fillet, and threading to secure it shut and a threaded middle rod for assembly.
