NINE WORLDS PERSONALITIES (WAVE 1) Welcome to Pocket-Tactics, a modular strategy board game that can be taken anywhere! This set brings together character models from our Norse mythology series and makes them available for use in Pocket-Tactics. This set doesn't represent a specific faction; it's just a collection of loose pieces to use in your custom builds, either within this series or mixing with units from other sets as you see fit. We've streamlined years of development to bring you this exciting new wave. Get ready to experience the thrill of battle! **Gameplay Overview** In Pocket-Tactics, players take turns activating and deploying their units on a modular board. The goal is to defeat your opponent's units by rolling dice and using special abilities and terrain effects. **Activation and Deployment** To activate a unit, roll your red dice for offense (OFF) and blue dice for defense (DEF). Units have different numbers of OFF and DEF dice, as shown on their rules cards. Compare the results to determine who wins. **Assaults** When a unit assaults an adjacent enemy, each player tests their units' OFF by rolling their red dice and DEF by rolling their blue dice. The assault occurs in three phases: 1. Roll Phase: All dice are rolled simultaneously. 2. Bump Phase: Players can use "bumps" to adjust die results. 3. Re-Roll Phase: Players can re-roll die results using special abilities or terrain effects. 4. Tally Phase: Compare OFF and DEF results to determine who wins. **Ranged Attacks** Units with a ranged attack symbol can assault units at an extra distance, equal to the value listed on their rules card. **Deployment and Hazards** Players can deploy new units adjacent to any feature they control. Some terrain tiles contain hazards that affect units moving into them. Units deployed into hazard tiles ignore the effects, unless it's their favored terrain. **Victory Conditions** A player wins when their opponent cannot activate or deploy any units.
