CORE SET 1: ELVES VERSUS HUMANS In this exciting game of strategy and skill, players take on the roles of Elves and Humans, each with their own unique abilities and strengths. The objective is simple: defeat your opponent's units and control all features on the map. Gameplay Basics: - Players start by placing their units on the board according to their starting positions. - Each unit has a set of dice representing its offense (OFF) and defense (DEF). - Units can move, attack, or deploy new units. Movement: - Some units have bonus moves based on symbols on their rules cards. - Flying units can hop over enemy units when moving. Attacks: - The assault phase consists of three phases: Roll Phase, Bump Phase, and Re-Roll Phase. - Each player rolls their dice and adjusts the results according to bump values or re-rolls. - The Tally Phase determines which unit is defeated based on the highest OFF die against the highest DEF die. Deployment: - Players can deploy new units adjacent to any feature they control. - Units can return to reserves by moving into an occupied feature tile. Hazards: - Certain terrain tiles and features contain hazards that affect units when moved into them. - Units deployed into hazard tiles or with favored terrain ignore these effects. Victory Conditions: - A player achieves victory when their opponent cannot activate or deploy any units, or when a single player controls all features on the map.
