Pocket Sun Dial, foldable
thingiverse
A portable, pocket-sized sundial created specifically for 50°N latitude, this unique design boasts an easily attachable string hole near the hinge base. Simply attach it to your neck, bag, or keep it secure in your pocket by folding it like a pocket watch (as shown in unseen pictures). For further details on where 50°N lies on Earth, visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/50th_parallel_north. Crafted using FreeCAD software, this sundial is optional with a compass for accurate north-pointing directions and plugs to conceal string knots. To use, position the lid facing south (with the compass' north pointing towards it) horizontally over a base in direct sunlight to read time on the lid's face. In summer, adjust an hour for correct time reading. At night, use a flashlight alongside the built-in compass for orientation.
