Pocket-Sized Brass Caliper Carrying Case

So here's another one of my offbeat designs. I've got a small brass caliper from my tool box that needed protection from damage. To safeguard it, I thought a case was in order. Unless you have this exact caliper and know exactly what I'm talking about, this might not be the project for you - but the tray could easily be adapted to fit whatever object you're looking to store. This design is set up so that the tray clicks into place once it's inserted into the case via two small protrusions at the bottom. It takes a bit of force to push it in and pull it back out, but once it's locked in, it won't just slide out easily. I added a finger hole through the tray for easy removal of the caliper. Having recently started playing around with FreeCAD, I thought this would be a great opportunity to test my skills - or lack thereof. Not one to start with simple projects, I dove right in. Coming from almost a decade of experience with SketchUp, I'm used to importing an image into the program and tracing it out, then extruding that shape. If that's possible with FreeCAD, I missed it, so I took measurements and drew the caliper shape manually in Sketcher. Straight lines are no problem for me - but arcs are a different story. The arcs don't line up perfectly, but they're close enough to get the job done. If anyone wants the source file, I'll be happy to share it with you - but I warn you now that my workflow and organizational skills in FreeCAD might leave you scratching your head wondering what's going on.
