Pocket Laser Engraver (structure)
thingiverse
A friend at our makerspace created a compact engraver using DVD burners, following this Instructable (http://www.instructables.com/id/Pocket-laser-engraver/). The working surface is slightly larger than a business card. I decided to enhance its structure and even made it foldable for portability. Due to the varying spacing of the DVD rods, measure your own with a caliper and adjust the source file accordingly. This version is designed for 3mm material and requires some printed parts and M4 bolts (slightly shorter ones would be ideal). Unscrew necessary components and assemble on the structure. Alternatively, you can use zip-ties instead of printed parts and bolts. The result is a highly portable laser engraver perfect for demos and small tasks!
With this file you will be able to print Pocket Laser Engraver (structure) with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Pocket Laser Engraver (structure).
