Pocket Hand Line Fishing Reel mashup
thingiverse
I've been itching to create a compact hand line fishing reel that can be stashed in your pocket, and I think I've finally found the perfect combination of parts to make it happen! The design features outer holes for your fingers, allowing you to easily grip the reel while reeling in your catch. The center can be either bearing-less or equipped with bearings, giving you flexibility when it comes to performance. To keep things interesting, I left the spokes raised so you can feel every rotation, making it a fun and tactile experience. This design is inspired by two brilliant OpenSCAD models: a pulley (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:682418) and an inline skate wheel hub (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:566350). To add some visual flair, I used end caps from a fidget spinner (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2051375), which will give the reel a unique look when it's completed.
