Pocket door jam strike

Pocket door jam strike

thingiverse

My kid slams doors with a force that could bring down a skyscraper, even the ones with locking mechanisms and fancy pocket doors that are supposed to be quiet. Ours have those fancy mechanisms too, but when he slams them, it's like a mini-explosion happening every time - sometimes they smash the receiving end that's stuck in the door jam, causing quite a mess. All you need to do is print out the pin and stick it in there, and voila! Your pocket door will be functioning smoothly. I didn't bother with flaring the holes because my setup has brass covers with pre-drilled counter sinks - no extra work required! This trick is especially useful for those pesky pocket door installations that seem to be impossible to find in local hardware stores. The door strike is what you need, and it's not like they're growing on trees or anything. I had to order mine online because my local store didn't even know what I was talking about - these things are hard to come by!
