Pocket Door Hanger / Hinge

This is a custom component intended for use with pocket doors. It attaches to the top of the door, providing a bearing surface that allows it to move smoothly along its tracks. Designed for 3D printing with PLA or investment casting, this part features a threaded surface that can be machined after production. The thread pitch used in the original component was 5/16-32, which proved too delicate for successful printing or casting. In the accompanying image, the original die-cast piece is displayed on the left, alongside three printed PLA components that were subsequently cast in brass and shown on the right.
