Pocket Clarinet or Chalumeau

This is a remix of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1982036 This Pocket Clarinet or Chalumeau successfully incorporates a B-flat clarinet mouthpiece and produces an astonishingly authentic sound, remarkably similar to that of a full-sized clarinet. I made several critical modifications to the original design. The mouthpiece hole was initially too tight for my mouthpiece, resulting in unwanted indentations on the cork, so I enlarged it slightly and significantly smoothed out its surface. Furthermore, I refined the exterior finish. The bore proved narrower than the standard exit hole of a clarinet mouthpiece, prompting me to subtly taper the entrance to the bore, thereby ensuring smoother airflow within the instrument. Additionally, I flattened the bottom to enable printing without supports. I successfully printed this on my Qidi Tech X-Plus in PLA with a brim, 1.2mm walls, 0.08 layer height, and 50% Triangle infill. The Yamaha 3C mouthpiece offers superior playability compared to most clarinet mouthpieces, working remarkably well within this instrument. You will also need to acquire clarinet reeds and a ligature to secure the reed on the mouthpiece. For those inexperienced in playing reed instruments, starting with a softer reed, such as a Rico number 2, is advisable. There are numerous web pages and online videos available that demonstrate the correct clarinet embouchure (how to hold the mouthpiece in your mouth). Similarly, there are many soprano Baroque recorder fingering charts accessible online that can aid in learning the fingerings for the notes.
