Pocket Box Cutter with Spring Mechanism
thingiverse
Pocket-sized cutter with retractable mechanism that pulls the blade back into its housing when you release the button. A Fusion 360 file is available for editing purposes. This tool is designed to fit snugly on a keychain within your pocket without compromising the fabric, but please be aware of potential accidents involving sensitive areas. Ensure proper assembly by following the steps shown in the photos with numbers 1 through 6. Required components: * A Stanley blade measuring 61 x 19mm * A spring from a ballpoint pen The provided models may not be correctly oriented; rotate them as depicted in the photo labeled "1" to achieve accurate alignment. Use rafts for all models except c6_slider.stl. After printing, you might need to manually operate the slider within the enclosure to prevent it from getting stuck due to print quality variations. Spring clips come in three sizes: short, medium, and long. Experiment with different sizes to find the best fit for your spring. If uncertain, use the clip designed for shorter springs; while longer springs may work, they'll increase the mechanism's resistance and reduce blade extension.
