PO Eurorack Mounts (experimental)
cults3d
Human: 4 options to mount the pocket operator case in a eurorack. Module height: 3U Module width: 16HP (Option 1-3), 18HP (Option 4) Case_Front_full_v6_mic_eurorack_v1_rotated Version 1 has the PO protruding from the rack with access to the audio jack connectors. The mounting plate creates an overhang and will need support for printing, which may be problematic. A more sophisticated design of the mounting plate could improve this issue. Note: This replaces the standard front plate; all other parts can be downloaded from the PO case. Case_Front_full_v6_mic_eurorack_v2_rotated Version 2 has the PO recessed in the rack, with two small cutouts for audio cables. Printing this version should not be problematic as there is no overhang. Note: This replaces the standard front plate; all other parts can be downloaded from the PO case. Update 1 Case_Back_full_v5_eurorack Another option has been added where the backplate is mounted on the eurorack, and a normal frontplate can be used. Installing the frontplate may be difficult due to the backplate's stiffness compared to the normal one. This version should print fine with no overhangs. Note: This replaces the standard back plate; all other parts can be downloaded from the PO case. Update 2 Case_v6_eurorack_clip_rotated An option has been added to simply clip in the standard printed case. This will likely require some testing and tweaking to work smoothly, as it is currently untested. Printing this version should not be problematic with no overhangs. Test results indicate that it prints okay but is too flexible to hold the PO case securely. An updated version will be posted soon. Feedback is appreciated: - Which version is more practical? - Is the module width okay or should it be wider? - How does it fit on the rack? (No eurorack is available for testing.)
