###Disclaimer This is a remix combining portions of the PNV57E NOROTOS RHINO ADAPTER by AK-and-Kvass (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4761781) with portions of the Helmet Light Mount for Norotos Rhino by ProfessorAcorns (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3624120). * The file named "OCHA3-PNV57E-to-Rhino-mount-part-2-v3.0.stl" is the unaltered work of AK-and-Kvass, as uploaded in their PNV57E NOROTOS RHINO ADAPTER project, and is included here only to facilitate project completion. * The file named "Hinge.stl" is the unaltered work of ProfessorAcorns, as uploaded in their Helmet Light Mount for Norotos Rhino project, and is included here only to facilitate project completion. ###Intent The intent of this remix was to allow users of PNV-57-E systems to mount their night vision devices to their helmets or head-bourne systems by utilizing a standard, unmodified USGI type Rhino mount. There are other adapters which perform this function, such as the source of this remix, but they require modifications to the Rhino mount which make the Rhino incompatible with other systems. With this adapter, the PNV-57-E goggles can be attached and removed from the Rhino mount at will, allowing for easy storage, or swapping out for other devices. ###Moving Forward While this iteration is what I currently use with my PNV-57-E system, it is not perfect. When mounted on my Norotos Rhino II arm and my Crye NightCap, I need to adjust the angle of the arm all the way down for the tubes to align properly with my eyes. Future iterations of this project may feature either variable (through the Thingiverse Customizer) or adjustable (mechanically in-situ) vertical or inclinational alignment between the tubes and the mounting arm.
