PNG to StereoProjection

thingiverse

Someone asked me "Is there an easy way to change the image being projected?" Yes, I can simply load a new image using the surface() operation and then perform a 2D object projection with the projection() operation. Next, my stereographic_projection() module takes care of the stereographic projection from the 2D object. The solution works perfectly but be aware that the projection() operation might take some time to complete. OpenSCAD Documentation is available in both English and Traditional Chinese. You can also check out my png enabled designs. For more information about stereographic projection, please visit my stereographic_projection page. Here's how I designed this project. My library dotSCAD has a powerful stereographic_extrude module that makes it easy to create things with stereographic projections. Check out the stereographic_extrude section for more details.
