Attach an air hose using a hose barb to a Luer-lock syringe for extruding various semi-solid pastes, such as chocolate or clay. Makerbot's Frostruder MK2 inspired this project, but it is no longer available. As the project progresses, more updates will be provided on assembly and experimentation with hoses and solenoids. The .stl files are designed for specific Luer-lock syringes (50cc or 30cc) from SRA-Solder, but users can also modify the .scad file based on their own syringe measurements. Note that the model requires removal of a single wall support to accommodate horizontal locking mechanism. A tap matching the hose barb threads is necessary for an airtight seal. Increasing perimeters and solid layers may prevent air leakage. Assembly includes tapping the hole, threading in the hose barb with optional sealant, placing an o-ring around the center section, loading the syringe with paste, and inserting into the adapter while twisting. An alternative design is available on Thingiverse for reference. Additional parts are also available to attach to the X carriage. The 30cc syringe specs have been added to the .scad file along with a corresponding .stl file.
