Pneumatic stepper motor: T-48B
thingiverse
Human power is matched by the T-48B motor's 5+ kg force, with each step precisely placed at 0.67 mm and housed in a compact 48 mm space. This powerful and space-efficient motor offers users a robust way to move their stuff. The T-48B motor was originally developed for the Stormram 3 project. The original design used laser-cutting techniques in a complex process, cutting and engraving toothed pistons from multiple sides with high precision while managing variations in plate thickness. More details on this process can be found in the research paper. For Thingiverse users, the motor was redesigned to make it fully 3D printable, maintaining its original dimensions. Additionally, the maximum force has more than doubled due to a larger cylinder cross-sectional area. This motor is now available for download on MyMiniFactory, along with updated LongRack files added on June 23, 2018.
