Pneumatic PC Board Depaneler
thingiverse
This is a 3D-printed frame that holds a Hakko PCB depaneling tool in place and activates it using a pneumatic cylinder. More detail can be found in the YouTube video below:\r\n\r\nhttps://youtu.be/kjaT2MmEZpg\r\n\r\nThe pneumatic cylinder is secured with 10-24 socket head cap screws. The handle clamp is attached with three 10-32 socket head cap screws, and the soft clamp attaches to the pull rod using M3 hardware, which happened to be what I had on hand. The pull rod connects to the piston via a short length of 5/16-18 threaded rod, which was cut from a bolt's end and cleaned up on my lathe.\r\n\r\nWith this setup, 45PSI air easily cuts mouse ear tabs out of PCB panels.
