
Pneumatic Package Grabber

This design aims to hold packages as a part of a drone delivery system. The mechanism mimics the idea of the pin impression board toy. Still, in this design, the pins are telescoping rods with a rubber tip (for grip), actuated by a pressurized pneumatic system. The mechanism is lowered down from the drone via a 3-cable pulley system controlled by motors. The pins are pressurized, hugging the package which can be any shape due to the adaptability of the pins. When it reaches the ground the pins are retracted and the mechanism is winched back up to complete the delivery.This is a rough design made for my ME 2110 class at Georgia Tech
