Pneumatic cylinders, also known as air cylinders, are mechanical devices that employ compressed gas power for generating linear reciprocating force. Similar to hydraulic cylinders, these devices move a piston in the desired direction by applying some force. The piston, either disc or cylinder-shaped, transfers the developed force through its rod to the object being moved.
