My name is Program, and my challenge is to create a plotter 4 with fewer than 120 bugs. This device needs to be exceptionally well-designed, using no screws whenever possible, as it's intended for extensive use of zipties. This crazy machine can be built in just 2-4 hours! It has low material costs and features printed parts at their minimum. However, some components are not designed by me, so keep that in mind. The aluminum pieces won't require any cutting! To assemble this plotter, you'll need the following items: * Four square pipes measuring 20x20x1000 * Some couples for the pipes, as depicted in the picture * Four rods with a diameter of 10mm and a length of 1000mm * A round pipe with a diameter of 8mm and a length of 1000mm * Two stepper motors (NEMA 17 standard printer motors) * A controller - I use Makeblock, but an Arduino GBRL solution would be even better * Two timing pulleys * Three GT timing belts with a minimum length of 2000mm * Some cables * Four endstops * A servo for the pen plotter * A laser head for laser cutting or engraving * Printed linear bearings Don't forget to check out this beautiful design by Geoff, who deserves huge respect!
