PMC-Eight Controller Box Support Bracket

This robust clamp bracket is engineered to securely hold the PMC-Eight electronics box to the EXOS-II tripod mount's 2-inch diameter leg. It boasts three precision-cut holes, allowing for the installation of three M3x30mm or #4-40 x 1.5in screws that enable a firm grip on the leg. With this bracket in place, the PMC-Eight box can be easily slid onto it. This design upgrade replaces the small aluminum block attached to the leg with velcro, which is supplied with the mount, and provides a much more sturdy and professional-looking solution. The result is a secure fit that prevents the box from sliding down the leg, rotating around the leg, or falling off. The EXOS2 GOTO mount, offered by Explore Scientific as a low-to-mid-range astronomy platform, serves as the foundation for my setup. I utilize it to support my Explore Scientific 102 CF refractor telescope. UPDATE (10-18-2018): I've modified this bracket to function as both a support for the PMC-eight electronics box and a universal mount for other user-designed items, which I'll be adding soon. The bracket still attaches to the leg with three M3x30mm screws, while also providing a T-mount for the PMC-eight box and two 3mm holes spaced 1 inch apart for M3 or #4-40 screws and nuts. This allows users to attach other items securely to the mount leg. Note: The geometry has been designed to accommodate both #4-40 and M3 screws and nuts. UPDATE (1-22-2019): I've introduced a version of this bracket compatible with the 3-inch diameter G11 tripod leg, utilizing 1.25-inch #4-40 screws and nuts (or metric M3). Your support is greatly appreciated!
