PM-SW702 / TYWE2S smart plug jig
thingiverse
I purchased some iSelector (SM-PM702) smart plugs to try flashing Tasmota firmware on. I searched for the least intrusive method, but ultimately you will need to access GPIO 1 located in a hard-to-reach spot in the plug. The jig seems to work; I see the ESP boot loader message from the Tuya firmware. **This Will Not Flash a SM-PM702 as Is** I'm sharing this in case it's useful to others who want to solder a jumper to GPIO 1. As of now, it has not been tested for actual flashing. **TLDR** **BOM** SM-PW702 is the iSelector branded one I used Pogo Pins - P75-E2 are what I used **Description** I attempted to flash Tasmota on an iSelector SM-PW702 I tried to minimize the teardown, but stopped when I realized the PCB was not removable without unsoldering the mains plug. I didn't want to do that. If we can cut a slit in the case to reach the edge of the TYWE2S, we can access PINS: VCC, GND, RX, TX Which is what this jig was designed to do. I hoped the "on-off" switch was tied to GPIO, but my testing didn't yield results with esptools. This might have been an error on my part of timing and sequence to get esptools to recognize it. I'm stopping for now. Maybe someone else will have better luck and tell me what I may be doing wrong. I may try soldering a jumper to GPIO on the TYWE2S later. **Notes** * The TYWE2S connector is 2.00MM pitch. If you're using "dupont" jumpers, you will have to bend the pogo pins to fit four jumpers. * I mostly print in ABS, so you may need to scale accordingly * Orient to print on bottom (where the contact side of pogo pins protrude) to bed, finger tap point up. * No support needed **Reference** [Tuya TYWE2S ESP8266EX Module](https://docs.tuya.com/en/hardware/WiFi-module/wifi-e2s-module.html)
