PM-940M Spindle Wrench

PM-940M Spindle Wrench

thingiverse

This wrench is designed to hold the spindle still when inserting and removing R8 accessories on your Precision Mathews PM-940M Mill. It may also work for other mills featuring a splined shaft, as their manual describes it as "6 splines, 28 mm OD". To ensure the best possible results, flip this wrench over before printing. The rabbeted circle should face upwards. I printed this wrench in PLA with 100% fill and have been using it so far without any issues. I initially used this design to create an aluminum version of the wrench. I connected the AL head to a steel bar featuring a 1/4"-20 thread. Unfortunately, that 1/4" piece broke after only two years of heavy use. Based on its performance, I expect this PLA version to last for quite some time.
