This is a straightforward approach to cutting a tangram, a puzzle that requires drawing shapes. The design was made to be personalized (mine is for the 6th birthday of my twins), and it can be created using any material. Print Settings Printer: laser cutter Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Notes: This design should not be 3D printed but laser cut. The following colors should be cut: pink: surrounding frame blue: internal frame black: inner pieces The following colors should be engraved: green: name / decoration red: puzzle assembly for backplate Post-Printing Glue the back plate and the upper frame: done How I Designed This Design Used the standard shape of tangram, adding a rounded surroundings for the frame. Duplicated to create the backplate. After the first iteration, added a secondary internal frame, allowing looseness for the pieces to fit perfectly. Changed the text and its location several times. Designed fully in Inkscape, with iterations visible on my usual bitbucket repository: https://bitbucket.org/Bruce314/lasercutdesign More details will be shared soon on my blog: http://www.revelut.ch
