Plywood Bike Rack

Plywood Bike Rack

I designed this bike rack to clear up some space in my garage. The rack allows you to push your bike easily on it by rolling it on the rear wheel. To get it out of the way, just fold it up or swivel it to one side. Of course you can swivel it, while the bike is hanging on it. This allows you to store several bikes close to each other. I designed the rack to fit for 28" cross bikes up to 27,5" MTB with plus sized tires (2,8" width). Perhaps it also fits 26" bikes, but I did not try it. The rack is made of 15mm plywood. All sub-assemblies are just glued and pin-nailed to each other. Some holes have to be drilled manually, so please pay attention to that. Required hardware Bolts: 1 x M8x120 1 x M8x90 1 x M8x45 2 x M6x20 Nuts: 3 x M8 Lock Nut 2 x M6 Lock Nut Washers: 6 x M8 4x M6 (outer dia. 18mm, DIN9021) Rope: 6-7mm in dia., min. 1,6m length You can use a steel rope as I did, or just use an other rope you can get with similar diameter.
