Human: Load rapid-fire darts from Nerf magazines using this high-pressure blowgun mechanism or modify it for your homemade blaster. Cycle the pump grip repeatedly to store multiple darts, creating a powerful shotgun effect. This advanced toy can fire nerf darts at much higher velocities and ranges than standard Nerf guns require safety precautions such as eye protection. Instructions: In addition to printing these custom parts, you will need: * 6.5 inches of 2" PVC Pipe * 6 inches of 5/8" x 1/2" flexible vinyl tubing * 3 feet of 9/16" x 5/8" Nylon tube ( McMaster-Carr #8628K57 ) * 3 feet of thin-wall 1/2" PVC pipe (ID: ~0.72") * 16.5 inches of 1/2" Nylon Rod (McMaster 8541K18) or similar plastic rod * 8 inches of thin-wall 3/4" PVC Pipe (ID: ~.930") * 1/4" Nylon Rod (McMaster 8541K14) or similar 1/4" rod * 1x 1/2" CPVC T joint * 1x 1/2" CPVC Elbow fitting * 1x 2" PVC Tee connector * A variety of 6-32 screws in different lengths * Some duct tape for quick repairs * At least one Nerf magazine, preferably the large 18-round magazines. Raider drums will not fit. To build this project, print each part exactly as designed, except for PB4_WingGrip2a, which needs to be printed twice. Scale the parts by 2540% to achieve accurate sizes. Carefully deburr and drill out the screw holes according to specifications: - Drill out the large (clearance) screw holes to 5/32". - Drill out the small (pilot) screw holes to 7/64, then tap them with a 6-32 thread. - Ream the Airblock hole just enough for smooth sliding of the nylon rod. Make any necessary adjustments to the model for optimal results, as different 3D printers may produce slightly varying sizes. Also, tweak the PB4_WingGrip2a to perfectly grip the Nerf magazines. Use the attached illustrations as a guide for assembling this blowgun mechanism. The set screws on the breech linkage secure it in place. The flexible hose connects to the air output via a CPVC elbow, serving dual purposes: - Enhance ergonomics and prevent accidental injuries by creating a buffer zone between your mouth and the blaster. - Reduce noise by muffling the airflow. If the hose does not snugly fit in the elbow, secure it with duct tape. The magazine squeezer requires precision-drilled holes to match those on the wing grips. There is no pilot hole, so measure and hand-match the clearances. To ensure a smooth performance: - Secure the out stop to the barrel using duct tape. - Hold the front grip tube in place using duct tape. Insert Nerf magazines when the breech is retracted (in the back position) and release them by pressing the small ellipsoidal button on the wing grips. To fire, blow into the flexible hose while drawing the breech forward after an initial rapid motion between firing rounds to achieve multiple darts.
