Everybody who modified their Flashforge or similar printers to a single extruder by using this half stepper thing needs this fan duct. Created for them, it works when you do not switch the extruder elements around. It plugs in where the left extruder was. No screws are needed; just plug and play. This fan duct was made because when you switch the extruder element around as required by the half stepper thing, the extruder gets very close to the plastic carriage that supports the whole assembly. Things were feared to bend or melt because of the heat! By leaving the right extruder in place and not switching it with the left extruder, this is no longer a problem. But then the supplied fan ducts with the half stepper don't fit. This model comes in where they do not fit. Various other fan ducts have melted/deformed already because they were very close to the extruder and were very thin. This one has not melted yet. Do not print this with PLA, because PLA has a low melting temperature. Use a high infill, like 85%. The more solid the fan duct, the less likely it will melt due to extruder heat. On another note: Just using the main part of the 'half stepper' thing worked fine for me. No extra parts were needed. Also, I used the original screws to secure the left heatsink by just screwing them into the main plastic part. Since the screws are so long, they have plenty of grip in the plastic. Printer: Flashforge Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2mm Infill: 85% Notes: Use only supports on the horizontal pin. The top part will bridge without problems
