Plug Cover / Prong Saver
thingiverse
It's a small block that you can place over NEMA 1-15P unpolarized plugs to protect them from getting damaged when not in use. For example, you might put it over a 5V "wall wart" USB charger that you're always bumping into your backpack, purse, or bike bag. To be honest, I printed this a while back and can't remember what settings I used. I'm finally getting around to uploading it months after the fact. If the fit is too tight (either because of tolerances for the printer or the plugs themselves), then it shouldn't be too hard to regenerate the design with slightly more generous tolerances. You want a snug press-fit here. This object was designed using Python, FreeCAD, and CadQuery, so the code and additional documentation are available on this GitHub repository: https://github.com/swolebro/caddyshack. Here's a direct link to the code that created these files specifically: https://github.com/swolebro/caddyshack/tree/07c52c9ea65df25ac1e996442a972746c4340195/scripts/electronics. There may have been updates or improvements since then, so I recommend taking a look at the latest revisions too. You can find pretty much any design on this git project also listed on my Thingiverse profile. Some of my designs also come with videos, which I'm compiling into a YouTube playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9xPdBFt5g3QmsrRzn3PynVNeJ7LHVtZS.
