Here is how it all started: I found inspiration in Eric Tsai's Instructables post (https://twitter.com/Eric_1100). It introduced me to DIY home automation. Computourist (https://github.com/computourist/RFM69-MQTT-client) improved the programming and added the ability for the device to transmit data to end nodes. Then, I found a great forum that simplified the build process and offered an active community at http://homeautomation.proboards.com/post/2053/thread. This project is my contribution back to the home automation community at http://homeautomation.proboards.com/.
