Plier / Wrench Organizer
thingiverse
I wanted my pliers to sit up on edge, so they would fit snugly in my toolbox, and after browsing commercial options like http://www.amazon.ca/Lisle-40460-Black-Pliers-Wrench/dp/B00AC60ZZ2/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1456501385&sr=8-3-fkmr1&keywords=lisle+wrench+organizer, I decided to design something myself. The problem with the product linked is that if you have pliers with large grips like mine, only three of the larger slots will work, while the others are too narrow. I measured my 20 plus pairs of pliers and attempted to create a solution that would accommodate most of them. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it work for angled needle nose pliers, as they refuse to sit up on edge no matter what adjustments I made. I've included the SolidWorks files if you want to modify the widths of the slots to suit your tools. I will update this soon with a photo showing how it works in action.
