I discovered that a random bump would cause the pliers to slide off the shelf edge. This wasn't all, reworking the clip over the shelf's edge caused it to become stressed and slightly open up - making it increasingly easy for even slight bumps to knock the pliers holder off the shelf edge. As a result, a total overhaul was necessary. The initial design was hastily thrown together using FreeCAD. In contrast, the new clip was carefully crafted in OpenSCAD before being seamlessly merged with the slotted section in FreeCAD.
