Although most structures within the Imperium's vast expanse boast imposing bulk and over-engineered complexity, initial outposts on newly colonized worlds or hastily established under combat conditions demand swift construction. To meet this pressing need, local tech experts employ the Plasteel Light Frame (PLF) system to rapidly erect vital infrastructure and defensive positions. Empty panel spaces measure 33mmx58mm for small inserts and 58mmx58mm for larger ones, designed to accommodate color laser or ink jet printed images. These visual enhancements serve as a quick terrain hack, injecting personality into hastily constructed settings. The modular design of the PLF system allows users to create versatile structures by joining two column halves in various configurations - either a 2, 3, or 4-walled enclosure. All components are crafted for easy disassembly and reassembly, facilitating storage and transportation. However, they can also be securely glued together to expedite construction of an existing structure. Two distinct top braces enable the creation of stacked levels or smooth rooftops.
