Although most of the Imperium's structures are cumbersome and over-engineered, initial structures often need to be constructed rapidly on a new planet or under combat conditions. The Plasteel Light Frame (PLF) system enables local tech experts to build structures and defensive positions quickly and efficiently. A Forward Base erected using the PLF system is an excellent example of its capabilities. Additional sections can also be attached to extend or broaden the structure. Concrete walls and top-floor details can be printed with a laser printer and glued into place. Alternatively, other walls from the PLF system can be used in their stead. The triangular walls can be uniform or varied according to individual design preferences.
