Plexiglass door handles with space for magnets
thingiverse
I was making the IKEA Lack enclosure for my Ender 3 (From the remixed source) but could not find the appropriate sized magnets for doors, so remixed the parts for the doors to take the size magnets that I managed to get. Once I printed and glued the magnets in, I realised that I didn't want to use double-sided tape on the door handles, so created some additional pieces with some countersunk screw and nut holes for the parts that fit onto the doors. I have not printed these yet. Magnet size: 20x10x2mm Magnets ebay affiliate link: https://ebay.us/IhulIX ### Printing The individual door and enclosure magnet holders can be printed without support. The individual door handle (file uploaded is identical to remixed source file, I'm just placing it here for completeness) can probably also be printed without support, but I printed with a small amount of support. Print with both legs in the air, see uploaded picture for position. I stayed with the default 20% infill for all the parts. I have not printed the combo door-handle-and-magnet-holder parts, nor the parts with the screw holes yet, but I will be printing them soon. The combo handle-and-holder part will need to be printed on its side to prevent supports. I'm not sure how I feel about that. ONLY PRINT the combo part if you KNOW you have about 3mm clearance above or below your plexiglass door for it to slide on. If you do not have those 3mm clearance, then print the individual pieces instead. ### Credits Credit to the original designer of the parts, where I remixed it from: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3052378 ### Source files I provided a zip file that contains the OBJ data that can be imported into Tinkercad to tinker with these parts.
