Fossilized remains of an Equinoideo, a sea urchin belonging to the genus Plegiocidaris, accompanied by a radiola, or spiny tip, from the same genus. Both specimens originate from the Sierra de Cazorla, specifically Puerto Lorente in Jaén. Their estimated age is approximately 165 million years old, dating back to the upper Oxfordian and Jurassic periods. This significant find is part of the Natural Heritage Unit at the Advanced Center for Earth Sciences Studies (CEACTierra) at the University of Jaén. The PALEOV-JAEN project aims to create a virtual paleontological museum in the province of Jaén, funded by the Institute of Giennense Studies (IEG); projects IEG2018. UJA-2019
