<h2>Pleating Spare Part / Replacement Pleating Component</h2> <h3>English:</h3> My pleatings employ a plastic component that is fixed to the window with a counterpart. The original components are manufactured from a very brittle plastic that breaks when you tilt your windows regularly. I used to repair them by gluing them back together several times, but eventually the glue loses its adhesive properties. Even PLA is significantly more flexible than the original part and will likely last as long as the pleatings themselves. If not, you can always print a replacement. Use this component in the same way that you would have used the original part that came with your pleating. <h3>German:</h3> My pleatings use an almost identical component to secure them to the window with a pleating holder. The original component has a weak point where the holder meets the catch at a right angle. When you tilt your windows frequently, the holder breaks after some time. So far, I've repaired them by gluing them together, but this only works for so long until the parts no longer hold. Even PLA is much more flexible than the original plastic, and I believe that printed components should last just as long as the pleatings themselves. If not, you can quickly print a replacement now. You can use this component in exactly the same way as the original component.
