Plaza El Vergel

The Plaza del Vergel has been one of the most iconic places, with a legendary history and Cuencan identity, located on the right bank of Tomebamba River. However, since it's been so long since a good renovation was done, the benches have deteriorated in a peculiar way, which is what we aim to show in this work: an alternative for the plaza to look even more beautiful than it already does. We want to pair it with the church, giving it a fresh new look. Since one of the most important entrances to the city of Cuenca is located there, the blacksmiths set up their workshops in the area, which remain active to this day.
