The PlayStation 2 slim takes up a lot more space when lying horizontally than it needs to. Designed to stand vertically, the PS2's logo even rotates, but it requires a stand to hold it upright. All online stands I found either catered to different PS2 slim revisions or covered vent holes, including both issues in one product. After my original PS3 overheated and self-destructed, I'm now more cautious about cooling, so I sought a stand that would work with my PS2 while also allowing airflow to the bottom vent.
