Playstation VR Camera Tripod Mount

Playstation VR Camera Tripod Mount

My son received a Playstation VR for Christmas. We found the cable/cord on the camera frequently made it difficult to get the camera to stay pointed in the desired direction. In addition, we thought it might be beneficial to be able to better control the camera height. I designed and printed this clamp/mount that easily attaches to a tripod. In order to deal with tolerances, I used a 2mm rubber cord between the clamp and the camera. You can purchase the cord from [Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZVH6U5Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). The pieces have a 2mm diameter 1mm deep grove cut into them. I pushed the cord into the groove and cut it to length. The clamp is designed to be 1.6mm larger in diameter than the camera body. The 2mm cord squishes and holds the camera in place without having to account for tolerances in the printer. The clamp has a threaded hole in the middle sized to standard tripod threads (1/4-20 UNC). The clamps tighten down with 4 M3x6mm screws.
