Playstation VR Camera Tripod Mount
thingiverse
My kid got a PlayStation VR for Christmas and it's been a blast, but we had some issues with the cable from the camera. It kept getting in the way and making it hard to get the shot we wanted. We thought it would be awesome if we could adjust the height of the camera too. So I took matters into my own hands and designed a custom clamp that attaches easily to our tripod. To account for any tiny variations, I added a 2mm rubber cord between the clamp and the camera. You can grab one on Amazon - just search for B00ZVH6U5Q. The pieces have a tiny groove cut into them, about 1mm deep, where we pushed the cord in and trimmed it to size. The clamp is a bit bigger than the camera body, by 1.6mm, which helps keep everything secure without worrying about printer tolerances. And with that sweet 2mm cord squishing down on the camera, we don't have to worry about those tiny variations anymore! Plus, the clamp has a threaded hole in the middle that fits standard tripod threads (1/4-20 UNC) and tightens up with four M3x6mm screws.
