Playstation 4 VR belt clip
thingiverse
This is a belt clip designed specifically for holding the Playstation 4 VR cable in place. I aimed to create a slim yet robust design that can be printed without any need for support material. The main function of this clip is to securely hold the connector unit with a strong base section created around the cable outlet, providing stability and protection. Additionally, it grabs the unit with a small latch on its top edge, ensuring it stays in place while handling it. The installation process is quite straightforward: simply insert the cable into the base section gap and slide in the connector-unit until it's locked in place under the small latch. The latch is designed to bend slightly to apply some pressure, but you may need a screwdriver to lift the notch and get it over the connector-unit's edge. I had to do this myself, but your printer's calibration might affect how easy or difficult it is. Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 25% Notes: It's crucial to print the thing in the same orientation as shown in the STL file, as the clip's strength depends on layer orientation. I printed this design using PLA and it works flawlessly - the clip itself and the small latch have just the right amount of flexibility.
