PlayStation 4 Dualshock Shoulder Button Adaptation

PlayStation 4 Dualshock Shoulder Button Adaptation

thingiverse

This is a non-destructive adaptation designed specifically for the PlayStation 4 DualShock controller, allowing users to utilize the left shoulder buttons with their right hand - it should also work in reverse if mirrored properly in slicer software. It's perfect for shooters where players can push L1 to aim (gently pushing the extension) and R1 to shoot (firmly pressing the extension), taking advantage of the long length of the L1 extension, which enables indirect access to R1 as well. Attaching this adaptation to your controller is a straightforward process. Simply use 2 mm thick double-sided foam tape to secure the body first, followed by both extensions for the shoulder buttons. For improved movement, you can also use a metal pin; however, I've included an alternative part in the print file if you prefer that (untested). Proper placement of the body is crucial for smooth button functionality - refer to the attached image if you encounter any issues. To enhance the overall look and feel, I applied Sugru to my printed extensions, but this step is entirely optional.
