Playstation 4 cooling stand
thingiverse
I'm using my PlayStation 4 on a TV cabinet with no cooling system, so I have to put it in there without any extra cooling. The console will produce a lot of heat inside the cabinet if I don't do anything about it. To fix this problem, I placed a small fan (60mm) right in front of the console and another fan (also 60mm) on the ventilation hole at the back of the cabinet wall. I attached these fans to mounts using 4mm bolts, washers, and nuts for extra security. The fan in the front sucks cool air from the room and blows it away through the vent with the other fan, which gives a pretty good cooling effect. To make things even better, I got a simple thermostat controller (12V, 20-90°C) from eBay for just 5 euros. This little device helps control the fans so they don't get too hot or cold. I placed the temperature sensor on the back of the front plate where there's a U-shaped holder. The back of the front plate also has some small spots to tie up loose wires with cable ties, which keeps everything neat and tidy. To improve air circulation even more, the console will rise 6mm off the shelf with the front plate and corner parts, so it won't get stuck in one spot.
